Is the Philippines ready for Wi-Fi TV yet???

Have you ever heard about Wi-Fi TV? Well it's like bringing TV to the internet. You can watch different channels from over 50 countries wherever you are as long as there is internet connection.

For the first time ever on the Internet, and for no charge whatsoever, people all around the world can watch live TV, chat with others through text messages while watching the same programs, make free phone calls, and host live online video parties with friends or others who share the same interests.
Wi-Fi TV Stations can be viewed on PCs, laptop PCs, and, increasingly, on mobile devices, TV screens, and big screen TVs, anywhere in the world a high-speed Internet connection is present.

Many global countries now own their own Wi-FI TV stations where people can view their programs 24/7.

The main question is, is the Philippines ready for this kind of technology yet? If you do a search in Wi-FITV.com, and choose Philippines as the country, you can only see 2 stations which are "The Old Path TV Broadcast" (also known as "Ang Dating Daan") and "Truth Caster", both of which are from religious sects.

Why don't Philippine hotels, restaurants, resorts, realtors, Colleges/Universities, charities, and all other large companies, have their own station yet? To think that getting a Wi-FiTV station will help them create a following or cater to their audience in a way that no magazine, newsletter or traditional means of communication can.

Does this mean that we are not ready to compete globally yet? I beg to disagree!
